A Comparative Study of Fundamental Religious Beliefs of Christianity and Islam

Abstract

Man received guideline from Almighty Allah from the time of his creation as the first man was bestowed with the light of revelation. The revelation having metaphysical source that leads to name these religions as revealed religion (sami adyan). This article aims to compare the basic beliefs of the two revealed religions, Islam and Christianity through comparative approach. The Christian’s claimed revealed text of Bible will be compared to Quranic text to find similarities and difference between these two religions in the concept of God, prophethood, revealed books, day of judgment and the concept of salvation.
