Abstract

The social system of Islam constitutes one of the most comprehensive and integrated frameworks for human society, grounded in divine revelation and the Prophetic tradition. Far beyond a collection of rigid statutes, it embodies a holistic design for securing the welfare of both individuals and communities in this world and the Hereafter. Centered on the principles of monotheism, human dignity, and social justice, Islam regulates interpersonal and collective relations on the foundations of morality, fairness, and cooperation. Within this framework, the family emerges as the primary institution of social cohesion, the economy is safeguarded against exploitation and discrimination, and political authority is directed away from tyranny and corruption toward consultation (shūrā) and service to the people. The Islamic social system, therefore, not only addressed the immediate needs of the early Muslim community at the time of revelation but also offers a timeless paradigm capable of guiding humanity across diverse epochs and civilizations.
