The basic concepts of social welfare in the Islamic constitution

Abstract

Islam rightly guides not only individual but also society as well.  In Islamic state it is the duty of Muslim to establish good and prohibit evils. The aim of Islam is to refrain people from bad actions. The Holy prophet (pbuh) himself declares that purpose of his prophet hood was to reform humanity and preaches morality. The prime goal of an Islamic state or society is to be a model of Islamic teaching .The basic purpose of Islamic state is to stop evils and promote good. It work under the supremacy of Allah Mighty, so its Law based on Quran and sunnah. It promote peace and order, social justice, perfect Equality and social and Economic development. The last messenger of Allah Mighty Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) formed the first constitution of Islamic state which comprises of, welfare of citizen, living with peace and harmony, Brotherhood, perfect Equality, mutul co-operation and respect, protection of collective interests. In this Islamic state the Rights of poor and needy people were also safe guarded. In present world the concept of welfare state is not only to provide all basic necessities of life, but state is also responsible for provision of basic human rights, liberty, social justice and Equality. Human efforts for the establishment of welfare state can be only fruitful by following the teaching of Quran and sunnah.
