Abstract

In the contemporary world, epidemics continue to have dramatic consequences. Minimizing the transmission of infectious diseases is a core function of public health law. Clearly defined legal powers are needed to respond to outbreaks of contagious and serious diseases at the national level. The appropriate exercise of legal powers will vary according to the seriousness of the Disease, the means of transmission, and how easily the disease is transmitted. Some diseases are entirely preventable by vaccination, or by access to improved sanitation and clean drinking water. Others are treatable when detected in a timely manner. In circumstances where a disease or infection is transmitted by sexual contact or other forms of human behavior that is private and difficult to monitor, the priority for governments is to create an enabling legal environment that supports those behaviors that are most successful in preventing further transmission. In this paper will be discussed about the Ethical laws related to contagious diseases in the ligh of Islamic law (Fiqah).
