A Naat (Arabic: نعت) is a poetry that specifically praises the prophet Muhammad. The practice is popular in South Asia (Bangladesh, Pakistan, India) commonly in Bengali, Urdu or Punjabi language. People who recite Naat are known as Naat Khawan or Sana'a-Khua'an. In Urdu Bangali, English, Turkish, Persian, Arabic, Punjabi, Kashmiri and Sindhi Language. Many of the famous scholars in the earlier days of Islam wrote Naat. Naat is sung with great joy and love of the beloved prophet (Sal-lal-lahu alaihi wa sallam). Dr. Ejaz Hassan Khan Khatak is a medical doctor by profession. He belongs to district Karak of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Besides being a medical doctor, he is a good poet also. The first collection of his poetry is Natia poetry by the name of La Nabbia Baadi. Dr.Ejaz naatia poetry has opened new horizons of thoughts for the readers. He is a true lover of Prophet Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him. His natia poetry projects all the colour of his true love for the Holy Prophet Peace Be Upon Him. Dr. Ejaz has taken the first step which is probably his first attempt at English poetry and that too in the form of Naat. He has done it extremely well.
