A Study of Imam Qusheri's Sufi approach to elaborate Ideology

The faith is a matter of knowledge which the people are obliged to believe in their heart. Islamic belief is solid and concrete and it is not changeable faith. Al-Qushayrī whose complete name is 'Abd al-Karīm ibn Hūzān Abū al-Qāsim was a famous Muslim Sufi scholar and theologian known for his works on Sufism. He wrote many literature on various issues but however his fame, is due mostly to his book Al-Risāla al-Qushayriyya. This text is a complete commentary on the basic terms of Sufism and a essentially reminder to the people of his era that Sufis had authentic Islamic tradition and solid belief. Al-Qushayri repeated the basic knowledge of Islamic faith and admiration of Sufism belief throughout his Risala. The Al-Qushayrī interpreted the faith which is based upon the Quran and Sunnah thoughts. The Qushayrī gives different evidence from the manner about faith and belief. Al-Qushayrī points the evidence of visible signs in the universe about the Toheed. He also describes many Sufism schools of thought like Junaidi, al-Sulami, Daqqaq and imam Wasti, in the views of their thoughts he gives sold examples and arguments for the interpreting of faith. The research looks the views of the Al-Qushayrī, taking a methodological approach to his debates on Islamic faith and makes the comprehensive evident of the nature of Sufism and concludes the message of Allah in dealing with all aspects of society. In this article, the researcher highlights the views of Imam Al-Qushayrī that Islam is a distinctive and correct faith from which may be drawn balance. The article concludes by arguing that the Al-Risāla al-Qushayriyya provide a comprehensive study of basic Islamic faith and inner practices of Sufism.
