Abstract

The history of folk literature of any language is associated with the history of that very language.  The initial form of the language comes into existence in a dialect form first in the streets. On the second place, the language reaches the laps of the people and, so on, to the villages and even to the diwankhanas. Likewise, after reaching the properties, the public role in the formation of the language is forgotten i.e. the language ignores its roots. By the way, the folk literature of every language has its origin from the streets. Similarly, Brahui folk literature also originates from the streets and the folk poetry. The interesting thing about folk literature is that its founder is not a single man. In addition, there is no specific evidence about the origin of Brahui poetry because it can be said about the origin of Brahui poetry that the shepherds used to hum while tending their sheep and the words themselves were like pearls in a string and the same process of humming has taken the form of folk songs. The fact is that some genres of folk poetry in Brahui are still very strong today. Keeping these discussions in mind, in this research article, an attempt has been made to present Brahui folk poetry in a scientific manner.
