Jabra Ibrahim Jabra: His Life and Literature - Travel and Creativity

Abstract

Life of the great Palestinian author Jabra Ibrahim Jabra, as is evident from his biographical works “Al-Bir Al-Oula – The First Well” and “Shri Al-Ameerat - The Princesses’ Street”, and the reflections of his writings especially his novels, and his literary dialogues and media talks with his contemporaries particularly Prof. Majid Saleh Al-Samerrai, proves that he had been raised by parents with meager resources who never compromised on his education and progression. It also indicates that he had been through various experiences associated with different streams of sentiments originating from his personal circumstances and perspectives of life, all these he had with such deep understanding and observation which resulted in his creative and expressive works of arts and literature.
